Steve Lohman started the office in 1995 with his wife, Gina, and a part-time bookkeeper. The firm has since grown to a staff of 10 including seasonal interns who help out during tax season. Steven W. Lohman, CPA
Steve Lohman started Lohman Accounting in 1995 with his wife Gina. He has been licensed to practice public accounting in Idaho since 1992.
Steve is the owner of Lohman Accounting and oversees all of the accounting, auditing, consulting and tax services of the firm. He specializes in providing services to agricultural, construction, retail, business and non-profit entities. He has extensive experience with business taxation, strategic business planning, financial audits, and reviews and compilations.
Steve graduated from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Science in Business Accounting in 1990. Steve currently serves as a member on the Zions Bank Advisory Board, Lewiston and Clarkston Chamber of Commerce, Gina Quesenberry Foundation, and The Vandal Boosters Club. He also served as a Lacerte Customer Council Member.
Gina R. Lohman, Firm Administrator
Gina has been working in the accounting profession since 1995. She was attending nursing school when they both decided to start Lohman Accounting. As the firm administrator, Gina oversees the firm’s daily operations and work flows. She also, supervises the staff, processes billing, and consults with new clients.
Cara R. Newhouse, CPA
Cara joined Lohman Accounting in 2004. She graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics with Accounting Emphasis in 1997. Cara specializes in LLC’s, partnerships, S-corporation, and corporate income tax planning and preparation as well as auditing for governmental and non-profit entities. Cara currently serves as a Director on the Board of the Idaho Society of Certified Public Accountants, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Andrea M. Braden, Staff Accountant
Andrea joined Lohman Accounting in 2007. She graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with Accounting Emphasis in 2007. Andrea serves the firm in the accounting and auditing practice and specializes in nonprofit entities and small businesses. In addition she performs monthly accounting services for several clients and prepares individual and business income tax returns.
Christy A. Armstrong, Office Manager
Christy joined Lohman Accounting in 2004. Christy spent many years in her own family ran business in Spokane. There she learned the importance of building a good client relationship. Christy serves the firm in client relations, scheduling, bookkeeping and individual tax preparation. Christy is the first person you’ll see as you come into the office; she is our “jack of all trades” at Lohman Accounting.
